52nd Grammy Awards: Black, White, Shimmery.

The 52nd Grammy Award saw some new generation artistes rocking up in less than classic styles that were ubiquitous in red carpet events of the past. We saw how Ri Ri came during the pre-Grammy gala in Viktor and Rolf half-bitten cotton candy dress, while Lady Gaga did live up to her quirky status in the wardrobe department by being spotted in an orb-like Armani gown. Then you have the Perry who kissed a girl and liked it, who never fails to be at the fore front of anything fashion. As much as I hate her sequined George Chakras frock with zigzag hem, I must admit that I have to give her credits for her courage to wear that and date Russel Brand.

Besides black, nude and white were the popular colours for the night. There was Katy Perry in a nude Zac Posen number, and Heidi Klum in a nude Emilio Pucci minidress. She may have throw away all her Louboutins, but Jennifer Lopez did came in a white and silver chain-mail Versace gown that accentuated her figure well.
Rihanna did a change and redeemed herself later in the evening with a high neck white Elie Saab gown with a mini train.

With $200,000 worth of custom made Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira earrings, who would have thought anyone will look so thrashy, but sorry Beyonce (as much as I adore her), I really hated the overall styling from the light-colored hair to the mermaid-like Stephane Rolland gown. Taylor Swift wasn't too far off in my list of worst-dressed with her choice on that Kaufman Franco dress that made her look twice her age. Judging from the trend on the biggest winner and best album title-holder for the year, that was probably the trade-off.

Speaking of worst-dress, no one, not even Miss Gaga can top in the Fashion Hall of Shame. With see-through, black lace Dolce & Gabbana dress worn over a bodysuit and paired with distasteful fishnet stockings, oops, Britney Spears did it again!

Victoria Secret's Fashion Show 2009

Feast your eyes on the sexy Angels from Victoria Secret 2009 fashion show. This year's may not be as exciting with a few new mums like Gisele and Adrienna missing from the wings, but hot-bod Marisa Miller, who donned the $3 million Harlequin Fantasy Bra, was a good change.

I'm sure no one will believe me if I said that Heidi Klum, who hosted the event, had just given birth to her fourth child a month ago.

The Verdict? Orlando & Seal are 2 very lucky men on earth.

Toga Fever: Kim Kardashian, Megan Fox, Olivia Wilde, Nicole Scherzinger [HOT]

Troy Jensen - Kim K's blog

The one-off, or toga, has been recently given more attention than it should a year ago.
Famous celebrities who love their togas include Megan Fox, Nicole Scherzinger, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Lopez, and Olivia Wilde.

Just last Thursday, Kim Kardashian departed from the David Letterman show clad in a fitted grey one-shoulder dress. After losing 6 lbs, this eldest Armenian Kardashian sisters is looking hotter than ever.

Pussycat dolls' leading lady, Nicole Scherzinger, was spotted last Sunday in a vermilion toga dress before the Singapore F1 Grand Prix finale at the Marina Bay street circuit. Well, that wasn't her only time flaunting her beautiful shoulders here. During the qualifying rounds, she wore a white, grecian-like version in support of her Mclaren beau, it's hard not to know why he won.

Another hot celebrity who loves her toga is Megan Fox. Remember her presence in Tokyo for the Transformer's Premiere? We love how the purple hue matches her crystal eyes which exudes an unspoken charm. She pulled-off a sexy maroon version of a toga dress for the same movie premiere in German, flaunting her inked back that says, "We will all laugh at gilded butterflies".

Surely we will not forget Olivia Wilde's bold appearance during the 2009 Emmys in a modern Marchesa rendition of the toga dress; one of those dresses that will never leave the stylish hall-of-fame even after 10 years.

Karl Lagerfeld slams Heidi Klum on talkshow

"Ich bin stinkdeutsch" - I am a smelly German. Karl Lagerfeld.

I'm watching the morning telecast of Johannes B. Kerner's talk show on DW (Channel 45 with Starhub TV) that hosted Karl Lagerfeld as his guest.
I'm not that great in German, but I vaguely heard him slamming Heidi Klum and her husband, Seal.

"...Ich bin kein Dermatologe, aber seine Haut möchte ich auch nicht haben. Da hat meine besser überlebt. Der hat so eine Kraterlandschaft."

Karl said that he is no dermatologist, but he knows that that is not the kind of skin he would want...and he compared Seal's complexion to crater! (You should have seen the priceless reaction of the audience)

And now we know why he is always spotted with his sunglasses!

Project Runway goes downunder

Move over Australia's next Top Model, and say G'Day to Project Runway Australia!

Based on the American version hosted by VS angel model, Heidi Klum, Project Runway Australia (PRA) features Australia's top model, Kristy Hinze, as host.

PRA

You can see very distinct similarities in both versions; 2 permanent judges, 1 male mentor, and of course 1 gorgeous host who (coincidentally or not) were both Sports Illustrated and Victoria Secret's model.

Although 4 lesser contestants, PRA also depicted a good mix of Australian designers from all around the continent. One that resembles Victorya Hong from PR season 4, Juli Grbac that reminds us of Jillian Lewis, Sophie Splading to Allison Kelly, and Mark Antonio to Christian Siriano!
