The Great Singapore Sale - Charity!

We know what it means to brave the crowds, buzzling traffic (and sometimes odors) during the GSS, but its all for a good cause - fashion!

This is MasterCard’s 5th year as the official card of the Sale and the company is offering an exciting grand prize to be won by one lucky GSS shopper– S$100,000 to be credited into your MasterCard card! Every transaction with your MasterCard card during the GSS sale period gives you a chance to win the prize money.


In addition MasterCard is introducing a charity element to this year’s GSS by organizing the first MasterCard-Great Singapore Sale ‘Shop for a Cause’ Night.


As part of the charity shopping night, MasterCard will provide 20 people with S$2,000 each on pre-paid MasterCard cards to be spent on items for donation to their chosen charity. The charity shoppers will be able to purchase items from Paragon, Tangs and Wisma Atria, all of which will be open for Late Night Shopping. Retailers at these malls are offering special privileges for MasterCard cardholders this GSS, so shoppers can stretch their dollar.


Members of the public interested in taking part in the MasterCard-Great Singapore Sale ‘Shop for A Cause’ Night, can email Shop4Cause@mastercard.com with their name, IC and phone numbers. In no more than 100 words, they should describe the priceless experience that they would like to provide to the charitable cause of their choice with the items they intend to purchase. The 20 best entries will be invited to participate in the MasterCard-Great Singapore Sale ‘Shop for A Cause’ Night at 7.00pm on June 14, 2008.
