Sarah Burton for Alexander Mcqueen S/S 2011

It all happened when I was in Milan, all eyes were on Sarah Burton, as she brought on her first major Alexander Mcqueen show during the Spring/Summer 2011 Paris Fashion Week. Big shoes to fit indeed, but we couldn't agree more with PPR's decision in appointing the late designer's right hand woman to be the creative director of the distinct label.

When Burton first spoke about the then upcoming collection last month about being less "angsty" and "softer", I thought it was just a "disclaimer", in case it didn't "fit" into the taste of existing Mcqueen fans or the whole strategic expectations play. To be honest, I thought the collection was spectacular, reflecting Mcqueen's spirit and essence with bold statements and intricate structuring. The line showed how closely Burton and Mcqueen worked together and understood each other during the last 14 years.

Straw bustier, ostrich feathers, butterflies, trademark digital prints and woven hair, just the way the founder would have done it.

Audi Fashion Festival 2010 & Star Awards 2010

I hope we are not getting the boot from the lack of updates. The past months have been beyond crazy for us; we shifted to a new place, got ourselves some new deals, and just came back from Osaka and Kyoto.

We've seen the Star Awards, and I must say, this year's red carpet show was probably one of the best thus far. In the past, there were aprons and yellow plastic shorts making appearances at such a "gala" event. The new generation artistes have now taken over the queens with polished styles with flawless make-up to match.

My best dress was Joanne Peh and Jesseca Liu. Worst, of course, to some dude name Christopher Lee, the same legend that wore apron circa 1997.

Anyway, Audi Fashion Festival is back! Not much happening this year, perhaps still in mourning with the repercussions from a bad year early 2009. However, expect some action from Dsquared tomorrow, as well as Marchesa and Roberto Cavalli shows on 30th April and 2nd May respectively.

MasterCard continues to be the official card for this stylish event and the main sponsor for this year's Blueprint event; a three-day trade and exhibition congregating Asian's finest creative heads and fashion buyers from around the globe. Blueprint will also transform into an exciting shopping event on the third day. Tickets can be bought via tdc, and what's more, MasterCard holders get an additional 10% discount for that.

All ticketed shows can now be purchase online, and hurry, you know these won't be there for long!

Karl Lagerfeld's first trip to Shanghai

Karl Lagerfeld makes his first trip to Shanghai for the Chanel's Paris-Shanghai Métiers d'Art Collection and film that debut in Shanghai Thursday night.

“It is about the idea of China, not the reality...It has the spirit of, and is inspired by, but is unrelated to China. It is not authentic like a Peking Opera or something,” - Lagerfeld.

That disclaimer of any connection to actual China and Shanghai allowed Lagerfeld creative and interpretive freedom with the film and the collection. More than 800 people attended the show, each climbing aboard Lagerfeld's floating fantasy via a bridge adorned with white, yellow and orange pansies.

Victoria Secret's Fashion Show 2009

Feast your eyes on the sexy Angels from Victoria Secret 2009 fashion show. This year's may not be as exciting with a few new mums like Gisele and Adrienna missing from the wings, but hot-bod Marisa Miller, who donned the $3 million Harlequin Fantasy Bra, was a good change.

I'm sure no one will believe me if I said that Heidi Klum, who hosted the event, had just given birth to her fourth child a month ago.

The Verdict? Orlando & Seal are 2 very lucky men on earth.

Not only do you get to enjoy free entry to special exhibitions in the museums, you get discounted prices for Macdonald's student meal, travel on concession rates, engage in cheap mobile plans (plus free campus calls which was non-existence during our time), and all these on top of skipping lectures as and when you feel like it (unlike working...)

Now, you have one additional benefit being a student!
